Bushwire Terms of Use
-
Zero tolerance
You must not use Bushwire to post or send objectionable content or to abuse other people. This includes harassment, threats, hate speech, sexual content involving minors, content that promotes violence or self-harm, spam, scams, and anything illegal where you are. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.
-
How problems are handled
Bushwire has no servers, so nobody, including the developer, can delete a message that has been sent or remove a user from the mesh. You can block any sender, which hides their messages on your phone and stops your phone relaying them. You can hide Open Mesh messages containing words you choose.
-
Open Mesh is public
Open Mesh messages are not encrypted. Anyone nearby can read them and see your name.
-
Not for emergencies
Delivery is not guaranteed and can take hours. Do not rely on Bushwire to call for help or where your safety depends on it. Bushwire has not had an independent security review.
-
Your identity
Your identity is a key stored only on this phone. If you lose the phone or wipe the app, it cannot be recovered.
-
No warranty
Bushwire is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for any loss arising from its use.
-
Changes
If these terms change, the app asks you to accept the new version.
